(d). The Government reserves to itself the right
to permit any Electric or Gas Company to carry their cables or pipes either above or below ground within the areas over which the promoters have rights and that in so doing the reasonable facilities contemplated under clause 24 of the Agreement will be in no way infringed. In this connection it is under-
-stood that, provided satisfactory terms can
be arranged, the promoters intend to utilise
the current from the new power station of the
Hongkong Electric Company for all their
purposes.
As Mr. Bowley is leaving for England tomorrow he
will be able to confer with Mr. Williams, and make the
necessary financial arrangements. The Government will not entertain any proposals for financing the undertaking except from a Corporation or Company, which is in a position to
execute the work of construction.
